Post Random Stuff

I had a wonderful surprise laid on by my husband yesterday… Completely out of the blue, I got a text in the morning to tell me to pack a bag as we were away for the night… Very unusual. He had arranged for his sis to stay overnight with the little ones. I had no idea where we were going and he wouldn’t tell me no matter how much I pestered him. Anyway we turn up in Bristol and are staying at a very nice veggie/vegan B&B… We went for a meal by the river and then he took me to see Martha Tilston play on a ship with a bar (The Thekla)... Until we stepped onto the ship I had no idea what was going to happen and then I spotted a poster… It was such a wonderful evening, not too many people and she has the most amazing voice and energy… (sorry Phens, you were there with me in spirit…) Aren’t I a lucky girl? :)

I can’t believe they deliberately crashed into the moon!!! I mean The Moon!!!

that after watching most of this weeks X Factor for the first time, there are some very deluded people out there… I was doing a lot of cringing and watching through my fingers at some of the performances… :)

but due to my son’s girlfriend watching it last night, I was fortunate enough to stumble across this guy… How good looking and sweet is he??? ;)

today… As my hub and I were walking through Exeter we came across a band called ‘Wholesome Fish’... This is a Nottingham band amongst others, that we used to go and see when we lived there… They’re a great band, full of energy and mucho good music. So glad to have come across them again and gauging the public’s response to them here, I am sure they will do well…

my SIL asked to take the children out, a car journey to the beach. I had a really strong feeling that I should go with them and I am so glad that I did. She is not the best of drivers, too cautious and nervy for my liking but also she can be quite unaware, unfocused too… Anyway she missed the turning for Exmouth, and had to turn back. we had to go right around the roundabout to get back on the right road, this roundabout has 3 sets of lights… My SIL is seemingly oblivious to the lights, thinking only of getting back on right road!!! At the last set of lights which were on red she begins to go through them and I had to yell at her to stop… Bear in mind this is a major junction with 3/4 lanes of traffic setting off in front of us!!! Even the drivers setting off were looking freaked out… ‘Oh dear’ was her reply, ‘must concentrate more’... Ummmmm TOO RIGHT!!! Even the kids stopped reading their books and concentrated on the road from then on…

recieved by myself for a chocolate cake that I made for my sister-in-law’s birthday. The person in question said and I quote “I am very picky about my chocolate cake but this is one of the best that I have tasted”. It gained even more of a wow factor when it was found out to be vegan. One thing that I love to do with my cooking is to quash the assumption that vegan food is austere and tasteless… So far I have done pretty well. Maybe I will just have to set up a goal to share some recipes… :)

So much hope, so many hopes… Hope everyone succeeds… :)

My last entry or should I say my last 7 entries of the same entry was not my fault. It kept saying oops, try again so I did. But then I find that it has posted it 7 times… Pah!!! Sorry to anyone who is subscribed to me and has all this on their subscription page… Take care everyone :)
