see my life through different eyes

is vital. To see that the small changes that we make in our daily lives, make a greater difference than we think. We don’t have to be perfect, our flaws and imperfections make us unique.

The only real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.

I may not have as much as some in the world, but I definitely have a lot more than many others, who are really struggling in terms of poverty… In the west we are always striving for material gain and forget that we are indeed blessed with the basic essentials in life… This attitude of always wanting more only creates seeds of discontentment, whereas, if we could only see with open eyes how much we do have, then we would feel rich and affluent and live with a greater sense of contentment…

I think I just need to put the lights on… :)

to see that this goal is still going strong after I posted it many moons ago… It seems to me that it is always easier to look at what everyone else has got, how well they are doing and just how smoothly their lives appear to be running. what is hard to remember is that we are only getting a tiny glimpse of a different life to our own, and that it will nearly always seem better than the one we have… You know what they say about the grass being greener on the other side!!!
