Run for love. Because I have always loved to run, but it’s been really easy to lose that between the college lifestyle and my high school injuries. Basically, run for love. REGULARLY. Not because I’m self conscious about my body. Or because I want to lose weight/look good. I want to run because one day, a long time ago, a little girl in the 1st grade fell in love with flying around a rubberized oval for 4 perfect laps. The little girl who lived for swim practice and PE and who’s favorite subject was recess. The little girl who never got tired during tag and who always tried to beat all the boys. The little girl who wanted to go to track practice after swim practice. The 5th grade girl who thought that her chance to run High School Cross Country, the epitome of running, would never ever come. That girl. I want to run for her. The one who has records at three different schools but cares the most about the ones that no one notices on the gym wall at Pilot Elementary School.
