This can be very rejuvinating. I have a small telescope, but by far the best way to view the stars is to go into the mountains, or to a beach away from city lights, take a bottle of wine, a blanket and your best friend, spouse or significant other and lie on the blanket and look up. When I lived on Kauai, people would always ask me what activities they should do while on the island. My standard response was the blanket, wine and stars routine on a beach.
