I have lasted four weeks without soda, and in doing so, I accomplished what I set out to do. I’ve kicked the soda habit. I am no longer addicted to soda. When I wake up in the morning, I no longer immediately reach for the soda. I choose healthier choices. Fruit juice. Water. A delicious smoothie.
I’ll have an occasional soda now. I’m okay with that. If I go out to dinner, I’ll have a soda. But I won’t keep it in my house (or apartment, when I move back to school in the fall). I won’t get it out of vending machines. I’ll carry around my Sigg bottle, filled with delicious water, and I’ll know that I’m healthier for it. I just proved to myself that I could go four weeks without soda, something I never thought I’d be able to do. I’m proud of myself.

Still haven’t had any soda. It’s been almost two weeks. Yesterday, I had some sparkling grape juice, which was delicious, but I hadn’t have anything carbonated in a while, so it was very strange. Haha. But I feel great!

Ugh this is so hard! I’m posting this while on my lunch break at home. I had to come straight home to eat, or risk giving in to one of the mountain dews I’ve been staring at all day. Today, I’m a cashier. And for the first third of the day, it was slow, and I stood next to the Pepsi cooler. Torture.
But it’s okay. Still going strong. :)

Today is the morning of my fourth day without soda. I’m crazily proud of myself, even though it hasn’t been very long, just because I can’t remember the last time I went even three days without soda.
Today might be difficult, because I have to go to work. At work, soda is my magical elixir that keeps me energized and helps me deal with stress. I guess I’ll have to find a new elixir.

Still feeling kind of blah, but I think that’s less caffeine withdrawal and more spending all day on the couch doing nothing on a rainy day. I got some grape juice, so now when I want something that’s not soda…I’ll have something! Also got some encouragement from my cousin, so that was unexpected and made me really stay focused. :)
