I read 1984, and I also read Wait Till Helen Comes, The BFG, and Eat Pray Love. Eat Pray Love was not on the original list, but it was my mom’s new favorite, replacing My Sister’s Keeper.
So that’s 4 of the 13. 2 of them were children’s books, but if that’s what my friends pick, well, that’s what they pick.
I’m going to ask my sister for an updated choice even though she doesn’t really read. She’s only 15 so maybe she’s read something since I asked over a year ago that she likes better.

I have selected 13 people that I would like to solicit book selections from and emailed each of them with my request. It may not be soon that I start actually reading them, but it is my first bit of progress.
