stop negative self-talk

people are often saying i speak so poorly of myself. i guess thats the trap you get into after certain earlier life events. i honestly think it’s just second nature to say something negative to myself. i think heightened awareness is the key to finally getting the ball rolling on this one.
they say you have to love yourself before anyone can love you. i just use that as validation as i do not have anyone in my life, at least not a love.

i have recently stumbled upon unsuspected support for myself with this goal. when someone is around saying, “don’t say that,” “that’s not true” it kind of makes you want to try your best to see that what they are telling you is true and the only way you’ll feel it is if you stop all the put-downs you tell yourself.

but sometimes i think i could never be enough, still.

i struggled today.
it’s almost as if i need to quit everything so i have enough time to devote to every little thing that i want to improve.
but how realistic is that?
life keeps moving. i’ve gotta keep moving.

in attempt to accomplish this goal i wrote out some positive sayings on post-its and stuck them around the house.
it may be a cheesy idea but it has been working so far. just reminders, it’s the little things that keep you going sometimes.
