New Routine 3 months ago

Went three times a week for two weeks in a row, and felt amazing. Not been so happy in a long time. Then didn’t go at all for a week – had just started a new job, training was stressful, had to help my brother move. Not good.
But now, by Wednesday of this week, I have at least managed one yoga session at home. My goal was to go three times a week. I now want to manage at least twice, and practise three times if I can. There is a yoga class near my workplace which I want to join. Then that would already be one of my sessions, and I could do another one at home (yogatoday.com for free weekly lesson), and there’s still free yoga on weekends near where I live – but only for as long as the summer, and I don’t always manage to get up that early on a weekend ;)



Back on track 4 months ago

Found a lovely free yoga group near me, we practice together and it’s really nice. One of the girls is very good at yoga and suggests movements and we follow. She has thought up some lovely practice sessions. I also bought a small book with some sequences and learn from that sometimes. I haven’t been going every single day but I’m aiming for three times a week, so roughly every second day. I have been twice this week and want to go back this weekend.

I love yoga! i can’t get enough of it, that’s how amazing it makes me feel. The feeling of increased flexibility as I proceed through the class is priceless, you can really feel it working. And when I concentrate on drawing deep, clear, calm breaths during the poses, it seems to last for hours, if not days afterwards, helping me think deep, clear and calm thoughts! I absolutely love it.

There is a brilliant website called YOGA TODAY, I really recommend the beginner’s classes, and I find especially Neesha’s lessons easy to follow. You can watch their free one-hour videos at http://www.yogatoday.com – did I mention it’s free? Oh and did I mention I love yoga?! :)

I’m just practising on my wooden floor at the moment, and sit on a folded up towel for comfort, but I am really looking forward to buying myself a yoga mat soon, I just need to put a bit of money aside for it. That’s the beauty of yoga though – you don’t need a lot to practise it!
