well more than half way through the first tranche, even if this is slower progress than intended.

well my debt is definitely coming down thanks to simply reducing spending consistently.
Debt that I also have from helping people out has also reduced thanks to my brother (who owes the majority) paying back some money, and a friend is about to pay me back all he owes. I wrote off the money I lent to another brother as I lent it to help him out and he won’t be able to pay it back, nor is it his style ! :)
so 3/4 quarters of my debt is not mine, but am toying with the idea of treating it as mine due to not wanting to ever be in a position of having to rely on anyone if things went wrong financially.
Currently my apparent debt is increasing (really my brother’s debt) which I don’t like even if my own portion is decreasing… need to come up with a plan for this.
Kind of ok with this so far, making progress. However when I have really focused in on this I have made a large impact so I haven’t honoured the spirit of this goal even if I have made a dent in it.
Goal: pay of first £1000 tranche
- through saving
- reducing expenses
- sell things on e-bay
- make own lunch or eat frugally (see lose 10 pounds ! goal)
- generally avoid spending money unless I have too ! (obvious one)forestoak has gotten 12 cheers on this goal.
