we have $462.88.

yeay… I have $320 now saved. Eventually it will be $4000, I just know it. I expect that we will pay off our credit cards this month, and then we have to pay for the two cars. After that I can really start to contribute a lot into this account.

Now if hubby gets that new job…. oh, that would be awesome… please honey, have a good IQ and a better personality…

I have gotten to the point that I am very excited about finances instead of put off or scared by them. It is a very nice feeling. If anyone wants some advice, mine would be to make a financial plan and stick to it through hell, highwater, and christmas. It has dramatically improved the quality of my life by lessening my fretting and the arguments my hubby and I had regularly about who spent what.

I love this goal, I may have said this before, because I can compare how many weeks ago I decided to start saving $10 a week verses how much money I have saved. I’m on track and I’m proud! I have $180.25 saved as of right now. The .25 is the interest my savings account made last month.

and I think that is boring. Argh.

Fly into Copenhagen – Take a trip across the Baltic to Gdansk – Drive/Train to Warsaw – Prague – Berlin – Hamburg – then back to Copenhagen.

My ideal second trip would involve Crete, Egypt, and the Meditterean in general, but the outline isn’t as vivid.

I am putting away $10 every week, starting last week. I have $20. My sister will probably be taking 5 years of college to get her Master’s in education, so we are looking at 2010 before we can go. If I save $10 a week, that is about $2500 for the trip. Do able. I have talked to K about this, and she is on track with me. She is looking to get a part time job to start saving as well.

I want to go with my sister to Europe after her college graduation. If I am not pregnant or otherwise occupied (pun-haha), then we will go together. I told her to start planning/saving now. I’m doing the same. We have 4 years.
