I have been reading voraciously these past few months. One might think of this as a good thing – I do, of course, but not when it gets in the way of my studies. As it is, while my perusal of fiction and history volumes for recreation has definitely increased my general knowledge (and probably my literacy), it has also caused me to neglect my academic work.
But it’s difficult to stop reading. It’s fun, and I realise that the more I read the more well-read I become – the latter, especially, gives me a sort of rush that is difficult to tear myself away from.
Great. This entry makes me sound like I’m addicted to reading. And maybe I am.
