laser session #2. 9 months ago

hurt way less than the first time. apparently, there are already less follicles to electrocute. still weird having someone pay that much attention to my crotch area that i’m not romantically involved with… but, the awkwardness is totally worth the result. 4 more to go.

session 1. 10 months ago

let me just give a huge shout out (um, did i just give a “shout out?”) to the most amazing woman who lasered me for the first time yesterday. it is a rough thing to show someone up close and personal a part of yourself that you’ve been hiding since jr. high. lights off during sex. bathing suits with skirts (i used to tell people that i didn’t know how to swim). also, getting shaved by someone else is weird. and so are those dispose-o-panties that you have to wear. but you know, she was so nice, and made me feel so comfortable, after a while- it didn’t feel weird at all. it did hurt a bit. like getting snapped with a rubber band in the crotch. and the bumps do get big and red for a while… but i don’t care. in a few short months, it will all be gone. (well, all but a “tasteful triangle”).

$180 a month. for 6 months. 11 months ago

somehow it doesn’t seem so much. my first date with laser is february 17th, and i’m so excited that i can barely stand it. the laser consult lady was sweet, and normal, and has been doing the hair removal thing for upwards of 8 years. she made a little joke about having seen a lot of cooch. i’m still nervous about showing someone my shame, but i am absolutely certain that the discomfort is worth it- not to have a shame anymore. apparently, i’m also the ideal laser candidate. this is the way it needs to be.

appointment. 11 months ago

going on tuesday for a consult. for serious, if it’s only like $100 a month or something- i’m going for it. life is too short to spend another day being dissatisfied with something that i can easily change.
