My kids are at their dad’s this weekend and late last night he messaged me on skype when he saw me on the net. He asked why I wasn’t out on a date!
It’s kind of freaky that we’ve moved on to a place that we can actually talk about things like this!
About the dating though. I really want to start, but I just don’t feel confident enough in myself yet. I plan to work on some of my other 16 Things before I put myself out there! I am taking small steps though. New Years Eve I went out by myself to a pub I knew to be comfortable and welcoming. Somewhere it was safe to go by myself. I was ready to ask to join a group’s table, but I was quite nervous! Lucky for me I happened to see a good friend’s sister there who introduced me to some of her friends… I ended up having a great night! Wasn’t anywhere near meeting someone romantically but I did feel like I was taking the first step!
