Get a better paying job

I got layed off on 12/21/06. I hated my job and was possibly quitting, so it isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I get to collect unemployment while looking for something better. Problem is…I have no clue what kind of job to look for. I have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design and am not sure that design is for me. Not to mention there aren’t many jobs in design out in the boondocks, where I live.

I am so sick of boring jobs with crappy pay.

This must be too much to ask. I’ve been out of school since ‘04 and while I don’t hate my job, it doesn’t pay nearly enough.

I’m a graphic designer which can be an undervalued and underpaid career choice, especially in the area I live in. I’ve redone my website, revamped my resume, been on interviews and second interviews…but no job offers. Something must be wrong with me.
