I started writing at 17, then admitted I wanted to be a writer at 20. I thought I’d finish my first novel by 21. I now have 3 novels and 2 screenplays in various stages of (in)completion, all in binders next to my desk. On my last birthday, I thought it a nice reminder that I should get on with it and get writing before I turned 40. I now have 3 mos left. Just looking for a draft. Should be easy, right? I’ve been thinking about the same story for 20 years.
