On Jan 1, for more than 5 years, I have started Proust. I have a neat 12 vol set of Modern Library-sized hardbacks, all about 300 pgs. One a month, right? So I have read vol 1 each year, got into vol 2 several times and got halfway through vol 3 twice.
Like Joyce, which I haven’t even opened, I make too big a deal of it all.
Just read.
