Write one handwritten letter to a friend per month

I’ve kept up and have written a couple of birthday letters to friends. I have one more I want to do now. I’ve decided I’d rather do that than to grade my student assignments. Procrastination at work!

I finished up all the old Christmas letters. Now I need to write 3 birthday letters soon for friends. I think I’ll get that done.

Just one more letter and all the Christmas card letters will have replies. I plan to do that today.

I have written a whole pile of letters lately. I’ve just written spontaneously to a few people, but mostly I’m finally answering Christmas letters that I received last December. Right now I only have 4 left out of a big pile. That’s good! I’ve also send a couple of postcards to friends for now reason other than to say hi and sent out some birthday cards too. Too bad I can’t seem to keep this up on a regular basis.

I wrote to my best friend in Finland. I need to do this more often. My friend in MN returned a letter right away.

I think they were still in August, but just barely. I wrote fairly long letters to a friend in MN and one in WI.

My friend Robin wrote me a letter. Also I know I sent out some letters in August just before I left, but right now I can’t remember to exactly whom. I’ve gotten back in touch with two old friends now, Harry and Mark (not a couple, they live in different states. Now we e-mail regularly.

I wrote a letter to wish Harry a happy birthday and finally wrote an answer to Ruth’s holiday letter. Now all my holiday letters for last year have been answered (don’t laugh, some years I don’t accomplish this). There are several birthdays in August. Now that I’m not doing any writing for work for awhile (maybe 2 weeks) I hope I can get a letter or two out.

I sent a birthday card w/ a greeting to my aunt and wrote a letter to my friend Robin. I have a couple more July birthdays and I think I’ll write at least one more letter after I’m done on the computer today.

I wrote to 3 different friends in MN yesterday. I now have about 6 or so letters that I need to write reasonably soon, but I’m making progress.
