Pun intended there… I got a FitBit pedometer for Christmas. It’s about the size of a small USB drive. What’s really cool is it can monitor your movement while you sleep. It comes with a wristband that’s light and comfortable to wear to bed. The first night I tried it, it counted that I tossed and turned 19 times! I’m not getting the amount of sleep I thought I was. In order for me to get my full 8 hours, I’m going to start planning to be in bed for 9 hours.
FYI the device also tracks the steps you take, as well as the flights of stairs you go up throughout the day. You can also log your exercise and food intake on their website to estimate how many more calories you are allowed to eat. It’s quite a nifty little gadget.
