Well, I didn’t get this one off the ground. I’m not giving up though. I have found that I am most successful at getting a diet started and keeping up with it if I start in the spring. Winter is so blah and I tend to not want to get out and exercise and to sit in front of the computer and eat. So, I’m tabling this for the time being and plan to get started on April 1.
I have read some of the newer “diet” books and really I think I’m going with common sense. I’m going to eat mostly fruits, vegetables, and whole grains; stay away from bad fats and bad carbohydrates; watch portion size, and avoid processed foods. I think that is best since I want to achieve a lifestyle change.
