buy a condo

for a down payment! Maybe next year it will happen. Who knows? WIth all the decisions I have to make about my career..leave the job, division, department, city???? I have to make a change.

What would be the advantages and disadvantages of living in a condo complex like this one?

I’ve been putting this off over the years because I live in a fabulous apartment, for incredibly cheap rent, in an excellent downtown location. I love where I live! But “everyone” has been telling me that it’s a better financial investment to own a place. My argument has been that to own a place my living costs will double!!!! I can always buy a condo and rent it out, but then I’d have to deal with the problems of tenants. I’m looking at a new affordable complex that’s being built not too far away. It makes me kind of sad, though.
