i hit 100 pushups two weeks ago but don’t want to cross it off my list until i can do it with some consistency. i can do it two or three times a week at the moment. some days i’ve had to break it up in sets of 75 or even 50. but i started off this week with 100 with the intent of hitting it every morning. i’ll let you know how it goes!

up to 70 this morning, double of where i was a little over a month ago. i changed up my routine and started using the armstrong pullup program (since i also have the goal of doing 20 pullups, which i’m light years away from).

basically, i do 100-150 pushups in the morning over two to three sets, five days a week, resting on the weekends and follow the pullup program in the afternoons/evenings. after two weeks, i can really see and feel a difference. i probably could have gone as high as 80 this week but i’m just taking my time and being super conscious of not hurting myself (messed up my right shoulder playing tennis a few weeks ago and left wrist has been shaky for a while now).

added another 10 since the last entry and i’m doing them twice a day, more or less. i may even have a chest by the time summer’s over.

really been trying to work on this since june; i started at 20 and upped it by 5 every two weeks. i’m feeling pretty good and not pushing myself that badly so i’m going to up it at a rate of 5 per week and see how long it takes for me to plateau. maybe it’ll be this week!
