I always used to feel numb when mum hugged me, even as a child. I think romantic love can be indulgent, but proper love from friends/family is what you should be aiming for. Sex/lust always complicates things and relationships are complicated enough!
I wonder if I’ll ever actually FEEL loved. I don’t have many in my life, but a few love me. If I died, my funeral would be full of relatives I won’t have seen in over 10 years. That’s depressing.
