Recently when I go to stores. If I forget a bag for shopping and the people at the store start packing my items into a plastic bag, I just tell them that I don’t need the plastic bag. I get cheers from some people, while some people look at me confused. Sometimes I just explain to them that I’m part of the BYOBag movement and they become intrigued.
So hurray! I’m refusing plastic bags! Though I notice I’m getting pretty low with trash bags! >,<
Any hints? Remember to spread the word to more people to join the movement!

The B.Y.O.Bag (Bring your own bag) project is a movement that has been inspired by an article from the Treehugger.com site. The article talks about the town Modbury, Britain, that has become the first town to officially ban the use of plastic bags (I will post the link on the bottom of this entry).
The movement to ban plastic bags began with one person in that town, and I feel with the power of the interwebs we can join this movement and make a bigger impact to help reduce waste and help save the environment.
Invite your friends and maybe we can convince stores that they should start using cornstarch bags or other environmentally friendly alternatives! If one person can do it, a big group can make an even bigger impact! Join me in the B.Y.O.Bag project and start taking your own reusable bags to the grocery store!
