I believe…... That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when
you’re down, will be the ones to help you get back up.

I Believe…... That sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be
angry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.

I believe….. That maturity has more to do with what types of
experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them
and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve
celebrated.

I believe….. That it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others.
sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I Believe…... That no matter how bad your heart is broken the world
doesn’t stop for your grief.

I believe…... That our background and circumstances may have
influenced who we are, but we are responsible
for who we become.

I Believe ….... That you shouldn’t be so eager to find out a secret.
It could change your life Forever.

I believe . ..... Two people can look at the exact same thing and see
something totally different.

I Believe….... That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by
people who don’t even know you.

I believe….. That even when you think you have no more to give,
when a friend cries out to you – you will
find the strength to help.

I believe….... That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent
human being.

I believe ….. That the people you care about most in life are taken
from you too soon.

The happiest people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.

The Price of Success

What is the Price of Success? It is simply…

To use all of your courage to force yourself to concentrate
on a problem in hand, to think of it deeply and constantly,
to study it from all angels, and to plan.

To have a high and sustained detrmination to put over
what you plan to accomplish, not if circumstances be favorable
to its accomplishment, but in spite of all adverse circumstances
which may arise – and nothing worthwhile has ever been
accomplished without some obstacles to overcome.

To refuse to believe that there are any circumstances sufficiently
strong to defeat you in the accomplishment of your purpose.

HARD? I should say so! That’s why so many never attempt to
acquire success they answer the siren call of the rut, and remian
on the beaten paths for the beaten. Nothing worthwhile has
ever been achieved without constant endeavor, some pain,
and constant application of the lash of ambition.
That’s the Price of Success.

You should ask yourself. Am I willing to endure the pian of this
struggle for the comforts and the rewards and the glory that
go with achievement? Or shall I accept the uneasy and
inadequate contentment that comes with medicority?

Am I willing to pay the Price of Success?

The story goes that some time ago a mother punished her five year old daughter for wasting a roll of expensive gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and she became even more upset when the child used the gold paper to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree.

Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift box to her mother the next morning and then said, ‘This is for you, Mummy.’

The mother was embarrassed by her earlier over reaction, but her anger flared again when she opened the box and found it was empty. She spoke to her daughter in a harsh manner

‘Don’t you know, young lady, when you give someone a present there’s supposed to be something inside the package?’

She had tears in her eyes and said, ‘Oh, Mummy, it’s not empty! I blew kisses into it until it was full.’

The mother was crushed. She fell on her knees and put her arms around her little girl, and she begged her forgiveness for her thoughtless anger.

An accident took the life of the child only a short time later, and it is told that the mother kept that gold box by her bed for all the years of her life.

Whenever she was discouraged or faced difficult problems she would open the box and take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.

In a very real sense, each of us, as human beings, have been given a Golden box filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, family, friends and GOD. There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.

I have always heard that age old saying that you never really ever get over your first love and always thought that it was a bunch of bull. I can safely say that 10+ years after my first love came into my life I am STILL not completely over it. There are little things, such as this song, that bring me right back to that moment in time and make me a little bleary eyed. But…I am ready to put it into the past. I mean, I have put it in the past but I am ready to put the song, that signifies SO much, into the past. Though it will FOREVER be one of my all time favorite songs and I never want to forget why it is that, it needs to be placed someplace safe and that place is NOT in my heart. So I place the lyrics and a video here. Here it can remain safe and sound and I can choose to re visit it whenever I want but I’ve placed it somewhere I won’t think about it often. Weird as it may seem, this song will forever symbolimize that moment in time where anything seemed possible and young eyes saw something wonderful in innocence.

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Try everything twice. On one woman’s tombstone she said she wanted this epitaph: Tried everything twice…loved it both times!

2. Keep only cheerful friends.
The grouches pull you down. (keep this in mind if you are one of those grouches)

3. Keep learning: Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain get idle.’ An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.’ And the devil’s name is Alzheimer’s!

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER.

6. The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love: Whether it’s family, pets, k eepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don’t take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, or atrip to the next county or a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity. I love you, my special friend.

11. Forgive now those who made you cry. You might not get a second chance.
