walk my dog more

and Jersey and I went out for a really nice walk. I had run all my errands and did all my grocery shopping for the evening meal and we set out on our trek. It wasn’t a super long walk but she really sniffed a lot and it totally wiped her out. When we got back home she slept for 2 solid hours without getting up each time I left my bedroom to go do something else.

Tonight starts my walking 2 miles with my boyfriend and we are bringing Jersey along. At first he was against it because she always wants to stop and sniff and he really just wants to power walk but I reminded him that she is a dog and can be trained to do different types of walking throughout the week. I completely refuse to go on a 2 mile walk without her, not only am I leaving her home to do nothing but SHE is also missing out on all that great exercise. Sooo…we shall see how tonight goes!

So yesterday I did not make it home for lunch but I did take my Jersey girl on a nice long walk when I got home from work. It was so nice out and actually pretty warm so she was trotting along and panting like crazy which was good because when we got home she actually layed down! It amazed me because usually she is still running around like a nut and acting like we didn’t even exercise!

So today when I get home from work we will do the same and today is going to be warmer, I believe a high of 80 something, so she should (fingers crossed) really be pooped out when we return!

and right now I am not giving that to my dog. She just turned one and is SUPER hyper and always wants to play but I’m more interested in my own thing lately and that’s not fair to my dog. I bought her for companionship and friendship and she gives me that every single day. I need to start living up to my end of the bargin!

Work has been hectic and I don’t take lunches that I don’t get paid for so starting today and I takking my hour lunch break. Heading home to take Jersey for a nice walk and then fix something small for lunch. I deserve to take my lunch so I’m going to use it constructively and go home eveyday and walk her. She sits in a cage for eight hours everyday and its not fair.

I feel the winds of change blowing in my direction!!!
