YEY!!  — 1 year ago

I managed to get up this morning and took becky for a walk. It was a pretty short walk but I did it!

She really enjoyed being out with me this morning and it was nice to get some fresh air before going to work and facing the day!

Looking forward to our walk tomorrow :)

Re-Jigging My Routines  — 1 year ago

Bibliomane was very kind and posted a comment on my Motivation post and sometimes the simplest solutions are staring you in the face.

My mornings are usually hectic with me getting up too late, running round like an idiot trying to have a bath, get dressed, eat breakfast, see to my furbabies and then drive to work.

So….This week…I am going to try taking my bath at night, picking out my clothes at night, swishing and swiping at night before bed, organising the things i need for work….at night and going to bed before 11pm so I can wake up in the morning earlier and have time to walk Becky before going to work.

Wish Me Luck….and thanks to Bibliomane!! x0x

Motivation  — 1 year ago

My motivation I have to say is terrible. I tried to motivate myself last week by taking my dog out…but I have been so tired coming home from work where I’ve been digging, weeding and sorting out a garden for about 4 hours each day, working after the garden then cleaning and decluttering when I’ve come home….I’ve just been too exhausted.

I can’t seem to find the energy to take her out for even 15 minutes. How awful is that!??

I’m going to try and take her out for just 10 minutes each day this week and try and get myself moving. For each day I take her out I am going to reward myself with a star and once I have accumulated 30 stars, I get to spend 20 GBP on whatever I want :D

The Reality  — 1 year ago

I don’t enjoy exercise very much. When I was younger I hated competitive sports and found games and sports difficult. I had no natural ability and was always the last person people wanted on their teams.

I enjoy activities I can do alone like swimming, walking, dancing, but again I haven’t made time to do these things and my level of fitness is very low. I have thought about joining a gym but it’s so expensive and I’d really have to be committed to going three or four times a week for it to be worth it.

I would like to be fitter and learn to enjoy exercising. I know it is very good for me and I need to become stronger and have a better posture and a more toned body.

I need to start slowly as my fitness is really poor. I am going to start by walking my dog everyday for about 20-30 minutes which is a positive first step.
