Doing some reading

I’ve begun reading the Idiot’s Guide to Music Theory – got it from the library, naturally – and it’s been really helpful in cutting to the quick of the matter. It’s just what I needed.

I chose to read it through fairly quickly, then go back and revisit it in a more in-depth manner with more practicing and application, sort of a survey followed by a closer look.
