Its mid-week and my back is back to normal. Technically, I guess I could attend the next class. Wondering if thats a good idea or I should wait another week to be safe.
The take-away from this episode seems to be that I should stretch and warm up before going to the class. The class itself involves warm up exercises but they require abrupt movements like jumping up and turning around quick. From a standing start those kind of moves might be highly prone to sprains. With a pre-warmup stretching session I might stand a better chance of getting through the class.
Well that was fast! First class and I was out of action with a sprained back within the first five minutes. And that was just the warm up!
Hopefully I will recover before the next class and last a little longer in it!
Progress on this goal starts tomorrow. I have found a Tae Kwon Do Instructor near my apartment and will be starting classes from tomorrow evening!!
