Circumnavigate one small country, 70 or so kms a day, home stay nightly, with interesting families, give presentations to Junior high students in each community of International Relations impact on theirs and their communities outlook. Raise money for Doctors without Borders because they appeal to my sense of selflessness for the needs of others in this world that have serious troubles around them. Ohhh, and there is more.
Shhhh. Don`t tell anyone until I saddle up the bike and begin.

As stated under change vehicles and to check in. I really did go off on a major trip.
Realization… This life is just a very long trip.
Living in Peace River took me to all over North Central Alberta and Northeast, BC. After son no. 2 was born it was a journey to Vancouver Island for a year to start a new career that would have me visit most of the Island, Seatttle WA to Kelowna and to Japan. Here I am in Ottawa starting life off visiting to the Laurentide north of Montreal and to Montebello to the Chateau for Christmas.
Life is turning out to be quite the Odyssey.
Cheers

The van could only go so far. Just under 200 kms southwest of Grande Prairie on the edge of Kakwa Provincial park. With the road impassible with a 2wd, I put the pack on and cycled in, through the river, over cobbly roads, to a clearing to set up camp for the night.
roasted my porkchop in pieces on a hot rock, heated corn as a side dish, enjoyed a wee dram of Port to settle the mood and slept listening to the sound of the Kakwa River. Snow capped peaks all around.
In the morning – packed up and out before the rain and sleet.
A new experience.

One dream down.
4 hours north. Away for the weekend. A major trip for a two day getaway.
Went for a ride in a Cessna 210 last Saturday. Distant relative said “do you want to steer?” Of Course was my answer. Lifted from 2550 to 4000 feet. Banked to the left a large full 360o then followed the river back to the airport.
Flying ranks up there with paragliding. Sublime.
