I did get up by 8am today, just as 43T sent me a reminder e-mail about it. For the first time in absolute ages, I might add.
I’m not going to work on this directly: it’s just not worth the stress. A lot better to work on all the other stuff in my life (stress relating to work, relating to future plans, cleaning up my room, doing more exercise, etc.), and just let this figure itself out.

I’m getting closer to this now, with one important new lesson learned: my odds of waking up in a relatively good state of mind is not really linked to when I sleep, how physically tired I am, or even to my mood in any way, but almost entirely linked to how good my dinner has been. So, moral-of-the-story: good dinners, please. Unfortunately, this has weight-watching issues. Let’s see how this goes.

This goal, after working brilliantly for a couple of days, has sort-of wasted away in the last week, but no apologies – it’s been a baddish sort of week, and I can’t wait for my last exam and the END of college, 36 days from now. Sigh. But hopefully I’ll be back at this goal by next week. I love how, at the very end of term, everything sorta rolls back one by one – fewer submissions, one or two more tutorials to go – until finally, all you’ve got left is the exams … and then … freedom!
God, that was offtopic. Sorry! But yes, as things-to-do reduce, waking-up-by-8am is once again going to rise up my priority list.

Am really getting into the habit now; despite a lot of sleep cycling warping and turning this last week, I am still atleast capable of getting up before eight (I woke up at 6:42 with my alarm today, accidently went back to sleep, and woke up at 7:45). I’ll leave this out until I am incapable of staying up past 11 or so, and then I’ll tick it off. Then again, tonight looks like its going to be looong … :(
