make a family website

A basic blog is now up; the next big challenge is getting people interested/excited/active. Might be a bit hard, but let’s see how it goes.

Immediate next step: put some photos up!

I’ve finally gotten a blog, a mailing list, and a Flickr group up. Next stop: a Google map!

Why a family website? It’d be great to stay in touch, sure; but the ancient method of meeting everybody at regular intervals seems to work to some extent at least, and besides, ‘most nobody in my family seems to want to use this InterNets thing anyway. So it’d just be for my own personal amusement/interest for now.

Which brings up the much more complicated issue of what EXACTLY I want to achieve, etc. Sighs.

but they’ll have to wait until after the exams …
