learn more languages

• Thai ( I am intermediate now…yay)
• Japanese ( I was intermediate : ( )
• French
• Spanish
• Latin (studied this in high school, wish I remembered more)

When I am sufficiently fluent in the main Thai dialect I hope to learn some of the others especially Northern Thai and Thai-Isaan. I really enjoy listening to Northern Thais speak. Actually I’d like to learn Lao (which evidently is close to Thai) because I would really like to go to Laos. Actually most SE Asian languages are of interest to me.

Reviewed Japanese for near two hours today. My goal is to get into the second year at PCC next year, because I’ve covered the first year before. Only it was a few years ago : ( However, I remember quite a bit (of declension, katakana, grammar, and vocabulary) and language learning is a pleasure to me, so I have some confidence.
I also practiced French for a bit and intend to practice some Thai this evening. Actually I really need to work on Thai pronunciation, but most people I speak with are too polite to correct me. : (
