I am a student of yoga and ayurveda. For the most part, I really enjoy asana practice—I usually do vinyasa yoga. But I have weak shoulders and triceps (or I did) and have always found it hard to hold downward-facing dog. Since I started my weightlifting regiment I’ve seen considerable improvement.
Yesterday I started a new weightlifting routine that focuses on strength. It runs 9 weeks and is broken into 3 week sections. I hope that on October 26, 2007, that I will have gained enough strength to perform downward-facing dog with ease and confidence.
