have more adventures

since my last entry about this. At the beginning of this school year (my last of traditional school, though I am planning on going on to Grad School) I decided that I would make this the year of adventures. I would have as few regrets of omission as possible.

I have really stuck to that.

I moved off campus and got my own apartment. I took in a stray cat. I took a trip to Atlanta, GA (about 8 hours from school) with a good friend to go to a book signing—we left at 5am Friday and got home at about 6pm Saturday. I took another friend home with me so we could go to the Renaissance Festival in Concord where we had a picture taken in costume. At my work place a bunch of us did the 80’s look for Halloween. I fell in love with a gay bar down town. This coming weekend I’ll be going to a GWAR concert with a guy I’m currently dating.

is one of the most interesting, tiring, and educational adventures I’ve ever had.

I finally drove out to Ashville to meet “his” family and friends. I had an absolute blast and I wasn’t even nervous. His mom said I fit in so well that it was like I had always been there. She was even showing me places she thought would be good to take wedding photos. All the family friends and all his friends loved me and “wanted to keep me”. I had a blast and I’m really looking forward to going up again, next time for more than a couple days, so that I can do everything with all the people who want to take me shopping, exploring downtown, canoeing, camping, for a ride on the ‘Busa, partying etc. In other words, I’ll have to stay like 2 weeks. Haha.

My girlfriend Jaymie and I decided to go to a movie theatre in downtown Charlotte. It was precious. Two screens in the middle of a mini shopping center. Brick and whatnot… Def part of the expensive Charlotte. The neighborhood nearby was more than impressive.

Me and 4 girlfriends had a dye hair night. I died my one of girlfriend’s hair BLUE! And mine Deep Bright Red. Yes.
