So far since I started back in August of ‘06 I’ve lost 25 pounds. I took off of diet and exercise during the holidays cause I just didn’t think I could stand doing it then. I only gained 5 pounds doing that and I have spent the last month starting to eat healthier and losing back that 5 pounds. So today I go back to exercise, counting, and losing that damn weight! :) 45 pounds to go!

I was so nervous when I stepped on the scale this afternoon. I weigh myself everyday at the same time and I was so afraid that I was going to be way over, cause I hadn’t kept to my diet yesterday. But when I stepped on, the beautiful scale read 189 pounds! I didn’t worry about breaking my diet yesterday, I just gotta forget about it and get back on my diet. I am so awesome. (Sorry if I sound a bit vain. I’m sooooo happy)
I got myself back on track after a week of nothing… I started exercising and just recently I started a diet. I’ve been on the diet for a week and I have officially lost 3 pounds. I have yet to see the scale go below 190, but I’m hoping it will before the end of August. I hope to be at 175 or so by the end of September. Thats when I get to try on this pair of pants that I’ve had forever (a year or so) and never been able to fit into. I didn’t want to take them back to the store, so they are my goal for right now.
I give my best wishes to everyone else trying to do this, it is an awesome goal that’s gonna take awhile…
But as someone much wiser than me said, “What doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger.” Or something like that… :)
195.5 to 130
So I”m sure everyone has their story about how they gained weight. Like I have mine. When I was in 3rd grade I was a very happy and healthy kid. But when I got into 4th grade my family moved (400 or so miles). I was began extremely sad and began suffering from depression. Until I got into sixth grade I was friendless, and had gained a lot of weight. I never realised how much weight I was gaining until I got into 7th grade. I weighed about 160 pounds then. At the end of my eighth grade year I weighed myself and was startled to find that I weighed 185 pounds. At that time I could feel that I weighed more than I should and I knew I had to do something about it. Throughout the summer I really didn’t do anything. I didn’t eat as much and I took P.E. as a summer class. I think I might have managed to stay the same weight. But then the school year came and I gained 15 pounds over the whole of it. At the end of the year I weighed 200 pounds. I’m now determined to do something about it. I took P.E. again as a summer class, and tried eating a bit healthier during that 4 weeks, and I yo-yoed between 204 and 195 pounds during that time. As of ten minutes ago when I last weighed myself, I’m 195.5 pounds. I would like to weigh 130.
As someone much wiser than me said, “You can’t cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water.”
So for the next week I will try walking two miles a day and eating 3 servings of dairy and 4 servings of fruits and veggies a day. And my usual bread and meat. And I’ll see what happens from there.
