For a full explanation of the randomness of the lyrics in this song you can go here; basically he had a chorus but no verse, so just rambled anything that came into his head. It just makes me laugh I suppose! I recommend going to his myspace and giving it a listen.
I kissed my cousin once.
His names Stuart and we were about 12 years old, and we had two younger cousins who were 10 at the time, and they’d never heard of french kissing and we were trying to explain it to them, and to this day I’m not sure whether I dreamt it or whether it actually happened, but I think Stuart and I kissed each other in order to show these girls how to french kiss, and every time I see him now I wonder if hes thinking the same thing, if hes remembering, but I can’t ask him incase it was a dream and he thinks I’m coming on to him.

I adore this song, it really shows off just how amazing Dav’s song writing is. For the sake of space i’ll just post the last part, but its really worth finding the rest of the song! :)
Watch your step by the crowd of fanatics
While they kill in the name of applied mathematics
Hate the system even though you invented it
Go kill your brothers and claim self defence of it
Picking up all the secrets and tricks to being
One of the guys whom the shit never sticks to
Take you seats for the final calamity
Don’t you look serious, hell, what can the matter be?
Another day and the rot’s getting faster
And all the machines started killing the master
It’s a shame, it’s a shame, it’s a shame

I’ve never manged to figure out what it is that i love about the lyrics to this song so much. I suppose i like that it tells a story?
Temptation, frustration
So bad it makes him cry
Wet bus stop, she’s waiting
His car is warm and dry
Don’t stand, don’t stand so
Don’t stand so close to me
Don’t stand, don’t stand so
Don’t stand so close to me
Loose talk in the classroom
To hurt they try and try
Strong words in the staffroom
The accusations fly
It’s no use, he sees her
He starts to shake and cough
Just like the old man in
That book by Nabakov

Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything’s okay and everything’s going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything’s gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face
It’s a traffic jam when you’re already late
It’s a no-smoking sign on your cigarette break
It’s like ten thousand spoons when all you need is a knife
It’s meeting the man of my dreams
And then meeting his beautiful wife
And isn’t it ironic… don’t you think?

Started with a school girl
Who was running
Running home to her Mam and Dad
Told them she was playing, in the change room of the local football side
They said tell us again, she told them again, tell us the truth, they found it hard to believe
‘Cause he taught our Steve, even trained me, taught uncle John who’s a father of three
Only takes one tree, to make a thousand matches
Only takes one match, to burn a thousand trees

This is just one of those classic songs that is unbelievable no matter how you judge it. :)
Better stop dreaming of the quiet life
‘Cos it’s the one we’ll never know
And quit running for that runaway bus
‘Cos those rosy days are few
And stop apologising for the things you’ve never done
‘Cos time is short and life is cruel
But it’s up to us to change
This town called malice
Rows and rows of disused milk floats
Stand dying in the dairy yard
And a hundred lonely housewives
Clutch empty milk bottles to their hearts
Hanging out their old love letters on the line to dry
It’s enough to make you stop believing
When tears come fast and furious
In a town called malice

I love the lyrics to this whole song, its perhaps the best i’ve ever heard concerning a teenage romance. This is probably my favourite excerpt, presumably because it includes the girl’s view and the reference to Romeo and Juliet!
Star-crossed lovers take their lives
Every Friday night
He’s swearing by the moon again
She, tells invented dreams
Finds it hard to breathe
Writes his name in steam
Upon
The shower screen
With her left hand
I dont know why
But I just
Love everything about you
I’m gonna try
Not to think;
If I think, I could doubt you
