23. peaches- biting into the skin which tautly breaks to release a mouthful of peach juice.
24. honeydew melons- thirst quenching and oh-so-filling to me.
25. ripe sweet pineapple.
26. washing salad greens. fresh light and of the earth.
27. the BBQ. yeah- the steak on the grill. pork chops, too.
28. sweet corn. the little rows pop under the pressure of each tooth into delightful bursts of starchy goodness.

on cake, on fruit, on me, on you.
sugary fluffy edibly sweet (lite version!) clouds packaged in a tub. can life get any better?
17. rosemary crushed in my palm before i drop it over red sauce. in fact, so many spices, ohhhh….....fresh basil anyone? if that does not just scream outloud “SUMMER! SUMMER!” and then there’s parsley….fresh, and chopped with a few squeezes of a ripe lemon, is to me the cleanest and greenest of all smells. thyme is so inherently feminine and aromatic and lingering, especially in contrast to the bold blast of manly oregano. and how could i almost forget the warmth of curry? and the searing heat of red paprika and the way crushed hot pepper flakes tickle my nose as they crackle in hot oil…after which I add the onions and garlic to soften and brown into a savory goodness and foundation of many an excellent meal.
18. my man’s rough cheek, freshly washed with soap, as i find my nook in his neck.
note the common theme:
gingerbread latte
gingerbread
ginger tea
gingerbreadmen
chocolate-covered ginger
ginger cookies
ginger ginger ginger
13. peppermint tea
14. peeling an orange
15. coffee
16. clean sheets.
always wanted smellivision….esp. when the betty crocker commercials came on. is it smellavision? smellovision?
anyway-
7. campfires and all the lovely yet sometimes kinda ripe smells of really living outdoors.
8. including the ocean.
9. a heavy rich curls-your-toes-up-it’s so BIG cabernet.
10. pages of a new book.
11. i know, i ‘m 35, but have to add my mom to this list.
12. this one along the lines of serenity scents, I would have to say the smell of passion. When you START to get all the juices flowing and you inhale each other’s breath and clothes and skin, even fingertips.
i added myself to your goal.
1. the scent of my (errr…the man of the month/year or how ever long they stick around) man’s hair on his pillow.
2. autumn
3. spicy….hot spice like hot peppers cooking. or cinnamon. anything spicy.
4. my puppy’s forehead. (okay- he’s 10 in a few days.) i smush my face on top of his forehead when i massage his ears. he stays perfectly still to enjoy evey minute. I never stop first. I let him enjoy until he chooses to go on to his next puppy happyness.
5. those hot sugar-coated almonds.
ETA:
6. LAVENDER…i douse myself w that froufy brand body spray- L’Occitane right after i totally cover myself with the bath n body works lavender lotion. And this is after I shower- even if i am just going to bed. Funny- it has such an ol lady connotation for me yet I heart it beyond beyond beyond. And, it’s lasted in my scent memory for years. I go through phases w perfume…for a while i could bare not start a day without the cool water/davidoff scent…that obsession lasted a summer. This lavender scent has been by my side for a few years now…as well as chanel allure. <—that’s my winter scent.
