I didn’t start that blog April 1 like I said. Infact I’d forgotten about that blog-promise. Anyway I did start a blog last night, http://tonguetracks.blogspot.com
So, I’ll share the link here and keep the site updated (Note: I did NOT say “up to date”)

The languages that I want to learn are:
Amslan/ASL
Esperanto
French
Spanish
Mandarin
Arabic
Japanese
I’m familiar with Arabic and have some rudimentary knowledge of Esperanto and some random vocab in ASL. I will utilize all sorts of resources to help me accomplish this goal.
I plan to use free resources to learn Basic ASL, I’m teaching myself Esperanto this summer. I started in March but I’d like to intensify my efforts this summer.
I’ll use sites like LiveMocha and the public library to help me obtain media of the national langauges. I’ll do all 4 free courses of French, Spanish, Mandarin and Japanese as I need them.
I’ll take a year of French and a year of Spanish in Jr. College. When I go to University I’ll take a year of Mandarin, Arabic, and Japanese.
I’ll be getting a region free-DVD player as soon as I can, I barely watch TV as it is nowadays and when I get my own space I wont bother with TV. Everytime I start learning a language I’ll use every chance to I can to speak it, even if it means hanging out in the Foreign Lang louge during all my spare time, even as I do my homework.
I’ll use my knowledge of Esperanto to help me travel as often as possible to foreign countries where I can be immersed in a language, and stock up on media of that language while there.
I’ll be keeping a more informative blog on the matter starting April 1, so keep an eye for that.
