I learned the Alphabet on my own, the numbers from a Youtube video, the “Random Words” from Nina of the Goodnightshow. I'm starting out slowly 9 months ago

I learned to finger spell when I was 8 and used it in class often, last year I decided to expand my knowledge of the language.

I learned several random words using the PBS sprout websites section on ASL.
I went to the library and checked out “Sign Language for Kids—Fingerspelling” so that I could brush up and practice my letters. I couldn’t remember about 7 of the letters and now I’m practicing them everyday. I got the 2nd video in the series “Everyday Words and Phrases” and I’m going to learn the 60+ signs this video contains.

I’m also going to check out the Signing Time series and I use lifeprint.com for vocabulary. I’ll probably start using a more advanced site later on like ASLpro. There aren’t any classes offered at any of the colleges nearby. and I was homeschooled so I’m gonna have to “wing it” until further notice. Maybe I will find a college down south with an ASL class.
