I have bare bones Unix skills that I mainly have forgotten (I took a class a few years ago). I need to come up to speed quickly on command line stuff. I have Linux in a Nutshell, which so far I have found to be great for looking up commands. Last weekend, I think I found the motherload book. It’s called A Practical Guide to Linux Commands, Editors and Shell Programming by Mark G. Sobell. I’m planning to go through it cover to cover. I can’t afford a class right now, so this is my plan. I would love to hear from other people that are trying to come up to speed fast if they have any good learning sources or tips and tricks.
