Week 4 Day 2, again 10 months ago

Due to family circumstances everything has come to a stand-still during the last few weeks. Today I did push-ups again, for the first time since my last post. I did Week 4 Day 2 again, because I wasn’t sure if I had already done that one. To my surprise (given the long break) I made it again, with a Max of 37. That means that today’s total was 25+29+25+25+37=141… Wow…

Did it in one try… That was unexpected! Not that it was easy, but at least I made it. I had an extra rest day in between, because of feeling flu-ish, that probably helped a bit.

And…success :) But it was still hard, especially the end of the second set, and the Max set. But I’m glad that I can move to the next day tomorrowedit the day after tomorrow.

Aw, I was so sure that I would nail this one today… Up until the last set I thought I could, but I couldn’t. I collapsed in the Max set at 19. The second set was reeeally hard too by the way. Well, I’ve done my thing for today, maybe I’ll reach the 32 on Thursday :)

I collapsed halfway through the third set, took a break and then finished the whole thing, but with longer breaks between the sets. I even made the 32 Max, but because of my collapse in the third set and the long breaks, I’ll do this one again next time.

First try for this day. It was a tough one, after the first set everything was tough, and I didn’t make the Max at the end. I did 22 instead of 32. But not bad for the first try. Also, I suddenly realised that last time, with Week 3 Day 3, I did 90 second rests instead of 120, so who knows what my Max would have been otherwise… :)

Done. It wasn’t really harder than the previous one. On to week 4!

Third try was a success. I did this one a while back already, but I forgot to post about it.

Hmm… I went backward instead of forward: my max was only 14 today. But still, I did 25+20+15+15+14=89 pushups, so that’s a nice workout anyway :)



Week 3 Day 2 #1 13 months ago

First try. The first 3 sets were very doable, and I started hoping that I would succeed at this day in one go, but the fourth set was really hard. My max was 21 instead of 25, so I’ll repeat this day until I get to 25.

Edit: I stopped for a few days, because I had given blood on Monday, and after giving blood my arm sometimes feels weird for a few days.
