read more Russian books

So this is actually turning out to be a trilogy about life inside a virtual reality game. Not bad, not bad.

Got another Russian book in the mail recently. Stuff about hackers and computer-literate people. The cover looks like it’s a rip-off of Star Trek, but the book seems to be lovely and well-written so far.

We’ll see.

Read a Russian version of the Cosmopolitan today…not a book, but I thought I’d mention it anyway. Cosmopolitan is the same everywhere, though. All about vanity and celebrities.

On a different note, still reading Tokareva. She makes me want to cry with the beauty of the Russian language. She is delightful in her mastery of the language. Not to mention, she writes super-depressing realistic down-to-earth stuff.

Got a bunch of Viktoriya Tokareva novels in the mail and off to reading! Already read a couple, and it’s doing me wonders. I’m starting to think in Russian again…sort of. I’m remembering how beautiful the language can be.

I haven’t been doing a good job reading Russian books lately…I think my best bet would be to read books online…whenever I get free time…

I’m fluent in Russian, but living in America with no one to speak it, I’m forgetting more and more. My only chance to keep up with it is to read Russian books, watch Russian TV and listen to Russian music.
