I started April 9th, 2010 with a bike on the trainer in the basement. I had trouble making it 7 miles but kept at it, just doing a few more miles each day.
On 4/16 I started a century ride without a clue how much work it would be. I lost sight of the rest of the riders so I ended up doing my own ride on local paths. After 45 miles I was at my limit.
By 4/21 I was able to ride 52 miles although it took 4 hours. Definitely worth it. Now I’ve completed at least 3 century rides, am working on the hills.
Definitely worth it!

I’m going to miss the first 50-miler I have scheduled so my band and I can get our first CD finished by the end of February. I’m going to have to schedule another ride.
I have been getting ready. Last night I rode for almost 2 hours.

I’ve always enjoyed bicycle riding and got into mountain biking about 6 years ago. The longest ride I ever did was 60 miles, it took all day and completely wore me out. I was about 17 or 18.
Now I want to join an organized bike ride, get a number and see how well I finish. The number one goal is to finish. If I like it, I’ll do it again.
