There as a PBS special featuring the Virgin Diet – I guessed most of the foods she recommended removing – Soy (don’t really eat much soy any more), Peanuts (also don’t eat but Jeff does), Corn (it is in everything – and Jeff loves popcorn), Dairy (this is tough since I eat yogurt and like cream in coffee and then supplement with cheese), Eggs (I was resistant to the idea but I weigh more since eating eggs daily and I noticed some congestion after bfast – could be cream or eggs), Gluten (I have avoided a lot but still give in), and Sugar (I have been trying to reduce it and have had some success).
Virgin recommends removing these from the diet for 3 weeks – I have been considering doing something like this for a while (Me as an Experiment. Of course she recommends protein powders but I am not sure about those – since I put them in processed foods… but perhaps a 3 week trial could be endured. I wonder what Jeff would think about participating.
Are these 7 foods what I would focus on? Is there something else?
