My old housemate at Uni used to brew his own beer, admittedly more for fiscal reasons than any great desire to do something from first principles. I didn’t really get into it, although I did like the idea (and I certainly enjoyed the outcome!), but now I’d really like to give it a go—especially once we move to Scotland and have the chance to try out the local brews at little pubs all across the country.
