kiss a complete stranger

I’m going on vacation in two weeks for a 3 week backpacking trip in Europe and I feel confident that we’re going to wrap this one up on this trip. When I stop to think about this goal, it really doesn’t make much sense for me; I’m really quite conservative. I feel, though, that vacation is a time to be someone else for a little bit and be open to life happening. This is what I intend to do on this upcoming adventure!

so, I was in Times Square for NYE this year and was standing next to a cute guy with whom I’d been chatting for the past hour. I felt confident that he would kiss me at midnight; i mean, it’s new year’s eve in NYC! Why the heck not?!? well, it didn’t end up happening, largely because my parents were standing nearby. we did exchange numbers, though, and ended up going on a date last night. At the end, he did kiss me (a really generic, non-romantic kiss, btw), but I don’t know that he necessarily qualifies as a stranger. I mean, we’d spent 4 hours in his apartment talking before this happened. oh well… :(
