in a very dry class. thankfully, i had my first knitting project with me, so i worked on it for hours. it’s a scarf, coming along nicely.

and went to article pract, where she promptly taught me how to fix it. i have, this morning, taught myself how to cast on and knit! i am learning the “continental” way, which is the way my aunt christel taught me years ago (but i got frustrated and never made anything).
i have decided to make a scarf for my niece sofie, out of the beautful violet yarn. perfect rainy day actvity, don’t really feel the need to do anything else.
i now have a book, some circular needles and beautiful violet yarn. my first project…knit cap for tanya’s baby. super cute, it comes to a knot at the top. if i get stuck there is a knitting group at cafe pippos on sunday afternoon. something tells me that i might be there…
cancelled sigh. i’m going to the shop anyways, just to get some circular needles and yarn. i have some instructions (in fact, my aunt taught me once, but it was the German way, which i think is backwards from the american way), so i may just have to take matters into my own hands.
a wonderful yarn store on solano, stash, and now i am inspired. there is another store right by scott’s house, so i am signing up for a class that starts next week.
