almost melted  — 3 hours ago

but it felt good to work so hard. i went for a swim afterwards, what a luxury the water was!

beautiful run  — 1 day ago

up claremont canyon, panoramic ridge to chaparral peak. about an hour, did I say up? one of the warmest days I can ever remember here, just magical, and clear.

jesusita  — 6 days ago

with my new running/couchsurfing friend mark. i love the chaparral, the technical trail and the view from the top.
7 miles.

two for two  — 1 week ago

yesterday 1 hour on the treadmill (boring, but the fixed incline is kick ass) and this morning an hour from home to around the marina park. feels like i am running through mud. the only thing that gets me though it is knowing that it will get easier.

20 miles.  — 1 month ago

this will be my one and only long run for ironman. i ramped up from 12 miles last week (not my best idea ever), but it was either that or suffer more race day.

12 miles  — 1 month ago

this time, i decided to be smart about a long run, and not overdo it. slow and steady, and some walking breaks. 2 hours.

running well  — 1 month ago

without pain. one of my friends said I looked like a gazelle the other night. after a year and a half of frustration, stops and starts, I am starting to believe that I can call myself a runner again. I can hardly describe what this means to me.

14.5  — 2 months ago

flat-ish. i am so sore today it hurts to walk.
but it’s a very good hurt.

how could I  — 3 months ago

have blisters after an hour and a half run? did my feet go soft just like the rest of me? nevermind. it just feels good to get out there, run as hard as these legs can carry me. bliss

welcome  — 5 months ago

to the church of the holy trail.

west ridge to french to orchard to west ridge, back to skyline gate. maybe 7, or 7.5, but the hills!

me and god, we had a talk about it. we both agreed that it had been too long.
