its london.
i dont pay rent.
i have a contract mobile, a student loan, a credit card to pay off, union subscription, mobile insurance, three charity direct debits, a very small pension contribution and a couple of monthly transfers to my savings account…
this still comes to about 600 pounds.
then there’s travel and food.
then there’s there anything that’s not covered by these essentials, toiletries, gifts for people, nights out, cigarettes (yes i need to quit properly again) – and if i lived alone, rent of probably close to 800 including bills.
i have in my savings account 600 pounds.
i am overdrawn by 350 pounds.
my anticipated after tax income for september is 500 pounds.
i’ll be down by at least another 100 pounds even if i get paid before my overdraft runs out.
to save up 6 months of living expenses i would need to save up about 5000 pounds.
thats probably unlikely to happen unless i win the lottery.
or max out my main credit card….
it’s a piggin’ race i’ll never win at this stage…
