I finally got my 2 crowns installed yesterday. One is gold and pretty darn heavy while the other was a composite on 2 adjacent teeth. My new crowns are still a little sensitive, but I am glad the work is over. My dentist even repaired another filling he noticed a divot so I don’t need another visit! Hip Hip Hurray!
pic is of the impression and temporary crowns.

Had my 2nd appointment and the crown was fitted, but there was a little problem with one of the margins, so my dentist decided to have it redone to fit properly. He also removed the rest of the cavity from my other molar and prepared a crown for it as well. I am warned that the root is exposed now and I have to be more careful about cleaning as to prevent further damage there. The teeth haven’t been bothering me at all, and I am hoping this work will last for the rest of my life. Just have one more appointment now to put on both crowns and this goal is complete.

I had my first crown removed and the cavity repaired, but the cavity on an adjacent tooth was deep enough that they will need to crown that one too. That means that they will drill out the rest of the cavity in my other tooth at the appointment to put in my new crown. So I am not out of the woods yet.

It has been a few years since I needed any dental work except for my regular teeth cleanings, so it was inevitable that I would eventually need some major work. Because I have some flexspend money left this year, I scheduled the work to be done in December. Not my favorite thing in the world, but better this than pain later & a root canal!
Does anyone else think this picture is funny?
